Welcome to 1st Little Paxton Scout Troop. ,
Scouts are aged between 10.5 - 14 yrs old and are the fourth section in the
Scouting Movement,
We hope you are looking forward to your journey at our Scout Troop
A Scout will participate on exciting adventures, discovering hidden talents, explore the world around you and learn new skills for life.
At Scouts, we have four main aims for each young person to succeed.
● Ensure all Scouts have an equal opportunity to take part in every session
and activity we provide.
● To ensure all Scouts have the opportunity to achieve the highest award. (The Chief Scout Gold Award).
● To continue to develop survival and life skills that can be used in later life.
● To provide fun, safe and enjoyable activities.
Any problems please speak to our dedicated Leaders Team.
The Scouting Purpose and Method is based upon personal development, learning by doing and enjoyment. At 1st Little Paxton Scouts, we run a varied programme that makes use of our local resources. We take part in activities such as Geocaching around the village, kayaking and raft building at the Sailing Lakes or hiking around the Paxton Pits. We also take in more traditional Scouting activities such as camping, pioneering and First Aid.
Scouts stay with us until they are 14 years old. After this, they can choose to progress to a Young Leader or to Explorer Scouts which belong to Hinchingbrooke District.
